Floyd Lee Dick, 76, of Trafalgar passed away May 4, 2021 at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis.

Floyd was born on October 15, 1944 in Bargersville, Indiana. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Edith "Edye" (Olds) Dick. Floyd and Edye were married on April 27, 1974 at the Bluff Creek Christian Church with Reverend Albert Lorber officiating. Floyd is survived by his wife, 1 brother, and 3 sisters.

He was preceded in passing by his mother, Ola (Dick) Doty and 1 brother.

Floyd was raised in Bargersville and he attended Union Elementary school. He was a 1963 graduate of Center Grove High School.

He worked for Arvin Industries after working from 1964 until his retirement in 2001.

As a young teenager, Floyd worked with his Uncle Sherm Dick painting houses for Utterback Builders in Bargersville, Indiana. He saved his money to purchase his 1954 Ford "The Hog" so he could Drag Race. He raced at Indy Drag, Bean Blossom, and Freedom, Indiana. He also told stories of how "The Hog" was never beaten out of the hole. Floyd had a passion for old cars, specifically HotRods. He worked to buy them and modify them to run how he wanted them. He won top honor for his 1929 Model A Ford Pickup at the Knoxville, Tennesse Carshow. Floyd loved to travel with friends to various car shows.

Floyd was a member of the Nineveh Masonic Lodge #317 and Christian Chapel Church. He was also a member of the Poor Boy Bass Club; Broke Bunch Car Club; and the Arvin Employee Fishing Club. He was an outdoorsman who loved deer hunting, rabbit hunting, and fishing.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 2:00p.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton Street (U.S. 31) in Franklin. Visitation will be from 12:00p.m. until the time of service at 2:00p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Nineveh Cemetery in Nineveh, Indiana.
