An upcoming show by the Indianapolis Jazz Orchestra will feature music by legendary Big Band artists Buddy Rich — known as one of the greatest big band drummers — and Maynard Ferguson, who was a trumpet virtuoso. Both musicians were known for their dynamic performances and exceptional contributions to the Great American Songbook.
The performance, starting at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Jazz Kitchen in Indianapolis, will also pay a vocal tribute the late Natalie Cole and her iconic father, Nat King Cole.
The Jazz Kitchen features world-class food, intimate table seating, and a smoke-free environment.
The Jazz Kitchen is at 5377 N. College Ave., Indianapolis. The cost is $15 per person. For reservations, call 317-253-4900
The Indianapolis Jazz Orchestra is supported by the Jazz Arts Society of Indiana, a nonprofit performing arts organization.
