Dan Wayne Etter, 62, passed away Sunday, Dec. 14, 2014, in Franklin. He was a resident of Indianapolis.
He was born Oct. 8, 1952, in Indianapolis to Noble Wayne Etter and Marjorie (Adkins) Etter.
Dan is survived by two daughters, Denise Carr and Jennifer Etter-Cox; four granddaughters, Ashley Carey, Brandi McElroy, Kayla Etter-Carr and Emma Etter-Cox; and two great-grandchildren, Alyssa Carey and Liam McElroy.
He was preceded in passing by his parents.
Dan was a 1971 graduate of Southport High School. He attended Vincennes University.
He was owner of and a machinist for Latches. He also was a self-employed truck driver.
Dan was an avid fisherman.
A celebration of Dan’s life will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
