The Franklin College men’s basketball team shot 50 percent and had three double-figure scorers in an 82-67 loss Tuesday night at NCAA Division II Eckerd College.
The game concluded the Grizzlies’ two-game Florida trip.
Junior Robbie Prather led the offensive attack with 19 points and made four 3-point field goals. Junior Aaron Mann added 15 points, while senior Trae Washington had 13 points.
Franklin trailed 42-29 at the half but battled Eckerd to an evenly played second half, 40-38, behind 60 percent shooting. The Grizzlies made 9 of 17 shots from behind the arc, including 5 of 7 in the second half.
Eckerd (4-1) was led by Obi Kyei with 15 points.
Teammate Kevin Walsh scored 14 points in the victory.
Franklin will return to action at 4 p.m. Saturday against visiting Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference opponent Defiance at Spurlock Center.
