Learn how to prevent fraud at Franklin forum

Indiana Attorney General Greg Zoeller’s office will host a free fraud prevention forum open to the public on Monday at the Indiana Masonic Home in Franklin.

The program will be from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at the community center, 609 S. State St.

Zoeller and his outreach services team will offer information on the latest scams and strategies used to victimize people. Their presentation will include tips on protecting yourself from scammers over the phone, mail and online. The forum will also focus on the rise in identity theft and steps you can take to guard against this rapidly growing crime.
