William and Betty Dawson of Greenwood are celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary with a private family gathering.
Mr. Dawson and his wife, the former Betty Weddle, were married June 22, 1946, in Kansas City, Missouri.
He is retired from General Motors.
She is retired from the Greenwood Parks Department.
They are the parents of Terrence Dawson, Jeff Dawson, Brian Dawson, Holly Dawson and Randy Dawson; grandparents of 11 grandchildren; and great-grandparents of five great-grandchildren.
