Franklin’s annual Independence Day celebration, the Firecracker Festival, is set for Sunday, featuring an annual race, parade and, of course, great fireworks.
Festivities start at 6 p.m. at the Indiana Masonic Home, 690 State St., Franklin.
Franklin Community Band will play at 6 p.m.
Bounce houses and horse wagon rides will be available 6 to 9 p.m. and 6 to 10 p.m., respectively.

Food vendors will be set up by 6:30 p.m.
A fun family parade around the Masonic Home Circle will feature walkers and decorated bicycles, wagons or golf carts — no cars or trucks — will start at 6:30 p.m.
The annual kids’ “Fastest Kid in Town” footrace will be at 7 p.m.
The Hill Valley Ramblers will play at 7 p.m. and Flying Toasters will take the stage at 8 p.m.
Fireworks will be at 10:10 p.m.
