Ten years ago this weekend, a woman and her stepson were murdered in their Franklin home in a heinous crime.
Police continue to investigate and pursue tips every day, but no one has been arrested in the murders. Detectives describe Chynna and Blake Dickus as innocent victims and can find no motive for their killings in July of 2006.
Investigators want to solve a series of burglaries in the neighboring subdivisions in the weeks leading up the murders, including one burglary near the Dickus home on the same day they were killed. Police believe they could solve the murders if they can determine who committed the burglaries.
