GREENWOOD
Gretchen Ann Bower, age 74, of Greenwood, passed away Monday, Aug. 8, 2016.
Born Aug. 25, 1941, in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Mary Frances (Robinson) Hardy.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard “Dick” Bower in 2007.
Survivors include her daughters, Sue (Darryl) Slevin and Beth (Craig) Endris; her sister, Bonnie DiGiovanni; and her nine grandchildren, Luke (Kellee) Slevin, Hope (Eric) Lemmel, Elise, Rachel, Lydia and Rebekah Slevin, Zoë, Simon and Ben Endris.
Gretchen was a member of Greenwood Christian Church, the Close Knit Friends, and was active in organizing reunions with her Southport High School class.
A memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Greenwood Christian Church, 2045 Averitt Road, Greenwood, with calling from 11 a.m. until service time.
