Center Grove schools looks for human resources hire

Center Grove is creating a new position to take over human resources duties after a longtime employee retires.

Assistant superintendent Sally Hacker currently oversees human resources, curriculum and special education. She is retiring Oct. 1 after 35 years with the school district. Hacker previously worked as a teacher, principal and director of human resources.

Jack Parker, who currently serves as the director of teaching and learning, will take over Hacker’s assistant superintendent position when she leaves.

Parker, who has been in education for 28 years, previously worked as the assistant principal and principal at Center Grove Middle School Central, according to a news release. The assistant superintendent position has a salary of $129,192.

Center Grove is also creating a new position, executive director of human resources, which will handle human resources duties and have a salary range of $118,520 to $120,939. The school district is working to hire someone for the new position, according to a news release.
