Virgil and Marilyn Mayo of Greenwood celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house.
Mr. Mayo and his wife, the former Marilyn Kvale, were married Aug. 9, 1966, at First Baptist Church in Greenwood.
He works for Homes by Cory.
She works at Johnson Memorial Hospital.
The couple has three children, Brian (Mindy) Mayo, Jennifer (James) Bryant and Jeffrey (Jessica) Mayo, and six grandchildren.
