Bargersville

Shots fired

5500 block of Breaburn Road, Bargersville: Police responded at 5:53 p.m. Sunday to a report of someone shooting on their property that backs up against a main highway. The homeowner was told to stop shooting.

Edinburgh

Shelby and Grant Streets: An officer pulled over a motorist at 5:29 p.m. Sunday after the car was stopped in front of a home that was burglarized in the past and the driver and a passenger were slumped down. The driver failed several field sobriety tests. She was arrested.

Criminal mischief

2300 block of Traditions Court: A man reported at 9:15 p.m. Sunday that someone busted a window in his home.

Thefts

  • 1200 block of Niagra Lane: A woman reported at 9:29 a.m. Sunday that her son’s bike was missing.
  • 500 block of Mallory Circle: A man reported at 11:55 a.m. Sunday that an acquaintance stole nine video games, a smart phone, a guitar and a camera from the his residence.
  • 1700 block of Black Oak Lane: A woman reported at 12:08 p.m. Sunday that someone entered her vehicle and stole change, a flashlight and a digital navigation system.
  • 600 block of E. Jefferson Street: A woman reported at 5:52 p.m. Sunday that an acquaintance stole her debit card and withdrew $300 without her permission.
  • Casey’s General Store, 3048 U.S. 31 North: An officer investigated a man who looked suspicious at 9:16 p.m. Sunday. The man attempted to steal beef jerky by shoving it down the front of his pants.

Burglary

300 block of Richey Street: A woman reported at 11:48 a.m. Saturday that someone broke into her home.

Shoplifting

Kroger Market Place, 970 U.S. 31 North: A loss prevention officer reported at 8:59 p.m. Friday that two people attempted to steal costume masks.

Thefts

  • 700 block of Shady Creek Drive: Police responded at 3:18 p.m. Friday to a report of theft.
  • Value Place Hotel, 1009 Greenwood Springs Drive: Police responded at 6:22 p.m. Sunday to a report of theft.

Shoplifting

Wal Mart, 1133 N. Emerson Ave: Police responded at 6:56 p.m. Friday to a report of shoplifting.

Criminal mischief

  • 1000 block of Heatherwood Drive: Police responded at 12:09 p.m. Sunday to a report of a pumpkin used to damage a mailbox.
  • 600 block of Park Madison Drive: Police responded at 9:34 p.m. Sunday to a report of damage of property.

Johnson County

Traffic Investigation

N. State Road 135W., and W. County Line Road, Greenwood. An officer pulled over motorist who was driving a vehicle that was registered as stolen at 3:39 p.m. Saturday. The motorist was arrested.

Personal-injury accident

9:31 p.m. Sunday — State Road 37N., and Bluff Road, Greenwood. Mary F. Bradley, 67, Montgomery and Kyle Buchanan, 22, Bloomington. Bradley reported pain in the shoulder/upper arm.

Whiteland

Found child

Cathys Drive and St. Charles Way: Police responded at 10:48 a.m. Sunday regarding a child out on their own. The father was located and told to secure the house.

Ricky Lee Cross Jr., 20, 4192 Travis Lane, Franklin; arrested on charges of theft/receiving stolen property and carrying an unlawful handgun; held on $4,300 bond.

Gregory Allen Simpson, 32, 401 N. Grant St., Edinburgh; arrested on charges of public indecency, public nudity and public intoxication; released on $6,000 bond.

Larry Price, 34, 645 Oxford St., Franklin; arrested on a charge of violation of probation and burglary; held without bond.

Cody Michael Gibson, 23, 3002 S. U.S. 31, Franklin; arrested on a charge of domestic battery; held without bond.
