Women’s soccer moves into HCAC final
Franklin’s women’s soccer team topped Rose-Hulman 2-0 in a semifinal match Tuesday to reach the championship match of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference tournament.
Taylor McDaniel scored the decisive goal just 38 seconds in on an assist from Clare Lenart. Jillian Lawrence added a second-half tally, and Lexi Short made six saves to finish off her 10th shutout of the year and the team’s 11th.
The Grizzlies will host Hanover College in the final at 1 p.m. Saturday.
