Hearts & Darts – November 7

Hearts

  • The Interchurch Food Pantry of Johnson County sends a heart to Meijer for partnering with us this holiday season to provide much-needed relief to Johnson County families through its food pantry donation program, Simply Give. Shoppers can purchase $10 Simply Give donation cards at the Greenwood Meijer store, which Meijer matches and during special Double Match Days, Nov. 11 and 12, Meijer does a double match. These donations allow our pantry to purchase much needed food to fight hunger. We appreciate Meijer fighting hunger in our community. Thank you.

  • Hearts, hearts and more hearts to the Needham PTO. We are blessed to have such an awesome group of parents. They went above and beyond in supplying dinner and other goodies during our parent-teacher conferences. That is just one of the many things they have done so far this year.

  • Hearts to my kind, honest neighbor down the road for finding and keeping my phone safe for me. I appreciate your honesty, and it means a lot to have my phone and all my pictures and wonderful memories stored on it back. Thank you a million.

  • Congrats to Center Grove for the state competition entry. Congratulations to all the Johnson County band members and their guard squads for the hard work, dedication to their craft and the beautiful music and artistry you have provided to your community. Everyone is a winner. Thanks so much for your beautiful shows.

  • Huge hearts to Officers Jeff Dawe (his K-9 partner Pepper), Mary Helms and Greg Reichert of the Franklin Police Department for making a surprise visit to our sons fourth birthday party. They stopped by his police-themed birthday party to wish him a happy birthday and give him a couple presents. We will not forget the look on his face when they pulled in the driveway. Their willingness to help make his birthday that much more special is very appreciated.

  • Hearts to Camp Allendale for allowing the Indianapolis Hiking Club to hike their trails on a beautiful October Sunday afternoon. Thanks to all their staff for their patience and guidance. The club will look forward to meeting there again.

  • To the person who said “unbelievable” as I was getting out of my car in a handicap parking spot. Sir, what you didn’t see was my sister getting out of the passenger side. She walks with a cane and has a brain tumor. You did the same thing to the elderly lady getting out of her car in the next spot and she had a back brace on. By the way, we both had handicap permits. It is unbelievable how you can sit in your car and make a drive-by judgement. Not all handicaps are visible.
