GREENWOOD
John W. Zabel, 86, of Greenwood, died on Thursday, Nov. 24, 2016.
He is survived by his wife, F. Caroline Schmidt; his children, the Rev. Paul J. (Judy) Zabel, Diane L. (Jerry) Gibson, Karen L. (David) Laabs and Judy L. (Scott) Halcomb; seven grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nine step-great-grandchildren; and brothers, William Zabel, James Zabel and Gordon Zabel.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. today at Concordia Lutheran Church, 305 Howard Road, Greenwood. Burial will be at Concordia Cemetery.
