William G. and Carolyn Ann Woods of Franklin are celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary with a private dinner hosted by their family.
Mr. Woods and his wife, the former Carolyn Ann Swain, were married Feb. 10, 1952, at Lizton Christian Church in Lizton.
He is retired and was a lifelong farmer in the Franklin area. He served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955.
She retired from Franklin Community Schools and Johnson County Public Library.
They have three children, Connie (Glenn) McAlpin, Cindy Greer and Catherine (John) Shergi; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
