Roncalli’s Hess advances to regional
Emma Hess of Roncalli moved into the regional round of the girls individual singles tournament on Thursday with a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Whiteland’s Reese Johnson in the sectional title match at Center Grove. Hess will play a regional match at Fishers on June 3.

Indian Creek athletes pick schools
A pair of Indian Creek’s top athletes recently made their college choices.
Senior basketball standout Tim Abel, an all-county performer this past season for the Braves, signed a letter of intent to play this coming year at Cincinnati Christian University, an NAIA program.
Junior Dylan Sprong, meanwhile, has given a verbal commitment to play baseball at Cedarville University, an NCAA Division II school in Ohio.
He plans to sign with the Yellow Jackets in November.
