George and Estella Knapp of Greenwood are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary July 9 with family and friends.
George Knapp and Estella Jakober were married on June 16, 1957 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Eureka, South Dakota.
She retired from Center Grove schools as a bus driver of 22 years.
He retired in 1987 after 30 years as an inspector with Ford Motor Co. in Indianapolis. He was also a bus driver for Center Grove schools for seven years.
Both still play in a polka band, the Knappers, which they started in 1980.
They are the parents of Debra (Don) Friar of Brownsburg, David (Corinna) Knapp of Greenwood and Jeffrey (Kelli) Knapp of Franklin. They have six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
