NATIONAL NIGHT OUT/FAMILY FUN DAY, 1 to 6 p.m. Aug. 5, East Park, New Whiteland; festivities will begin with a parade at noon; activities include a dunk tank with New Whiteland police officers and elected officials waiting to be dunked, vehicle and equipment displays and demonstrations, face painting, T J & Hooch deejay, food trucks/vendors, fire station tours along with several local businesses setting up booths. The Indiana Blood Mobile will be on site along with the JumpStart from Southside Harley Davidson. The White River Township Fire Education Trailer and the Johnson County Emergency Management Mobile Command Vehicle will be at the event. Rowdie with the Indianapolis Indians will be there part of the day as will the Pacers Fan Van.
