History buffs can get a dose of pioneer and Civil War culture at an event Saturday.
The Johnson County Museum of History is hosting Heritage Day from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the museum, 135 N. Main St., Franklin.
Pioneer and Civil War re-enactors will be a part of the day to help participants see history through the eyes of re-enactments.
Visitors can also see demonstrations of traditional crafts and participate in hands-on activities throughout the museum.

The event is free and is open to all ages.
Participants also can check out the Franklin Fall Festival. This event is part of the annual festival.
