Greenwood Village Pantry robbed by 2 masked men

Two masked men stole beer, cigarettes and cash from a Greenwood convenience store, and one fired a shot outside before they left, police said.

Just after 2 a.m. Tuesday, police were called to Village Pantry, 99 S. Madison Ave., on a report of a robbery.

The clerk told police two masked men walked into the store and began grabbing beer. The clerk opened the cash register drawer, and one man took the cash inside, while the other grabbed cartons of cigarettes, according to the Greenwood Police Department report.

When the men went outside, the clerk heard a gunshot, the report said.

The clerk told police the men did not show her a gun, but video from security cameras inside the store showed one man had a gun, the report said.

Police also found a spent casing outside the store, the report said.

Greenwood police are investigating.
