Marie Kay Buchanan, 76, passed away on Tuesday, March 20th, 2018 at her residence in Franklin.
She was born on August 29th, 1941 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Pete and Sylvia (Sellers) Miller. Marie married Jon D. Buchanan on September 12th, 1959. He lovingly survives. She is also survived by children, Brian Buchanan, Brenda (Gary) Weber, Brent (Lisa) Buchanan and Bridget (Paul) Davis; two sisters, Janice Miller and Sue Lorenz and one brother, Bud Miller. Also surviving are grandchildren, Matt Weber, Ransom Davis, Brittany Weber, Lauren Buchanan, Morgan Buchanan, Katie Buchanan, Angie Weber and Sabrina Buchanan. She was preceded in passing by her parents; sister, Joyce Whetstine and grandson, Brandon Buchanan.
Marie was a 1959 graduate of Franklin Community High School.
She enjoyed being a stay at home wife and mother.
She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. Marie enjoyed snow skiing, playing golf and sewing.
Rev. Walter Howard will conduct a celebration of life memorial service for Marie on Friday evening, March 23rd at 7:00 p.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street, (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Friends may call on Friday from 4:00 p.m. to time of service at the funeral home.
