Fundraiser planned for tumor patients

The inaugural Tumor Takedown Tailgate, a fundraiser to benefit the National Brain Tumor Society, will take place on April 22 from 3 to 7 p.m. at Revery, 299 W. Main St., Greenwood.

The event, which is being hosted by Adam Hayden and his wife Whitney, will be emceed by Lauren Casey of WRTV6 and feature live music from local singer/songwriter J. Elliott, beer from MashCraft, wine and a signature cocktail from distributor RNDC. There will also be a silent auction.

Adam Hayden was diagnosed with glioblastoma, a particularly aggressive brain tumor with a five-year survival rate of 5 percent, in June of 2016.
