Indiana Live Steamers offering train rides

A local train hobbyist group is offering the community train rides through the woods, prairies and a park on the south side of the county.

Indiana Live Steamers is having a community run day from noon to 4 p.m. May 19. Rides are $3 and will leave from the McClain Station in Johnson County Park in Edinburgh.

The group runs community ride days on the third Saturday of each month, except August and for special events at the park.

Indiana Live Steamers operate and maintain small replicas of trains, capable of carrying passengers. They run the trains on tracks at the Johnson County Park.
