Magen’s picks – October 4

KELSAY FARMS, every weekend through Oct. 28, 6848 N. County Road 250E., Whiteland. $10. Dairy farm tours, corn maze, baby barnyard, farm play tables, pumpkin and face painting.

Agritourism is at its height in central Indiana, as families seek ways to enjoy the harvest season right alongside the farmers in the area who are busy bringing in their crops for the year.

Kelsay Farms has been one of the leaders in the county offering events that appeal to families who want to take a peek at a real working farm during fall. Kelsay Farms is a working dairy farm and part of the draw to their fall events is petting the baby calves and touring their milking parlor. A corn maze, a cow themed train, games and a hay bale play area round out their farm that is geared toward fall fun this time of the year.
