Donations to the Good Cheer Fund

An annual Johnson County tradition on Thursday helped raise money to feed the hungry this Christmas.

The Jim Rhoades Memorial Hog Roast, sponsored by the Franklin Rotary Club, was on Thursday. Proceeds from the event are given to the Johnson County Good Cheer Fund and Interchurch Food Pantry.

The Johnson County Good Cheer Fund raises money to buy holiday food baskets for needy families in the area.

So far, donations to the Johnson County Good Cheer Fund total $1,775.

Monetary donations can be dropped off at the Daily Journal office at 30 S. Water St., Suite A, Franklin, or mailed to the Daily Journal, P.O. Box 699, Franklin, IN 46131.
