Operation Bundle Up giving out coats

Families in need of coats and cold-weather gear for their children can get what they need through a local program.

Operation Bundle Up’s annual distribution event is from 4 to 7 p.m. Nov. 7 at Turning Point Church, 3600 N. Morton St., Franklin. The event is a program of the United Way of Johnson County.

Residents, organizations and businesses are collecting new and gently used winter coats this fall. The coats will be cleaned and will be given to children in need.

Children who need a coat must be accompanied by an adult, and the adults must bring identification and proof that they live in Johnson County.
