HISTORICAL WHITELAND DISPLAY, 5:30 p.m. Friday, Whiteland Community High School gymnasium, 300 E. Main St.

Last year, members of the Whiteland Alumni Association discovered a trove of historic photographs, documents and other items, mostly related to Whiteland basketball teams dating back nearly to 1900. For local history lovers and Whiteland alumni, it was an amazing find.

Now, people will have the chance to see many of those items in a special display. The alumni association will have the items out for the community before and during the varsity high school basketball game, Whiteland’s homecoming celebration.
