The Kiwanis Club of Greenwood will host a soup-centric fundraiser from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Friday at Greenwood United Methodist Church, 525 N. Madison Ave.
The Super Bowl of Soups cook-off and silent auction will help raise money for Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health, as well as for scholarships for local youth.
Seven local churches will be competing to win the title of best soup during the event.
Tickets are $8 for adults, and includes soup, crackers, dessert and a beverage. The kids meal for children 10 and under is $4, and includes a hot dog or soup, chips, dessert and a beverage.
To provide entertainment, actors from Star Wars Indiana will be present dressed as characters from the iconic films.
