GREENWOOD
Ralph H. Allen, 94, of Greenwood, passed away on May 20, 2020. He was born on May 8, 1926 in Bowling Green, KY son of the late Parker and Inez (Cloyd) Allen.
He was a member of Emmanuel Church of Greenwood. Ralph was an Army veteran who served during WWII and the Korean Conflict. He was owner and founder of Allen Southside Appliances until his retirement at age 62.
Survivors include his loving wife, Edith E. (Wright) Allen; sons, Darrell H. Allen and J. Greg Allen; grandchildren, Alicia Allen Cummings, Amy Allen Poynter, Adrienne Allen Love, Greg W. Allen and Clayton Allen; and 12 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Douglas B. Allen.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 24, 2020 from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. at G. H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home at The Gardens of Olive Branch, 1605 S. State Road 135.
Ralph will be laid to rest in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Emmanuel Church of Greenwood.
