FRANKLIN

Phyllis E. (Stearns) Conner 74 of Franklin, IN passed away Sunday, June 7, 2020 at Homeview Health and Rehabilitation Center in Franklin, IN. She was born November 11, 1945 in Clinton County, KY to Jesse Frank Stearns and Emma (Dicken) Stearns.

She had retired from the Franklin United Methodist Community food services, she previously had worked for Specialty Connector, Bendix Corporation and the Morgan Canning Factory all in Franklin. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church.

She enjoyed reading, cooking listening to country music including Neal Diamond. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughter Dawn L. Galvin (Matthew) of Lafayette, IN, her son Clint N. Conner (Holly) of Franklin, IN, six grandchildren Jesse Galvin, Emma Galvin, Wyatt Galvin, Justin Conner, Seth Conner (Brittany), and Sloan Conner, two great-grandsons Zane Conner and Quinn Conner, sisters Ida Lenker (Bill) of Wilton, Iowa and Carol Stubbs of Morgantown, IN, brothers Jessie Stearns (Sharon) of Franklin, IN, Howard Stearns (JoAnn) of Franklin, IN and Steve Stearns (Ruth) of Franklin, IN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Wilma Dugan (Merrill), Opal Pitcher (Arthur), Maxine Sidewell (Bill), and Lena Anderson (Clyde), infant brothers Willie Franklin Stearns, James Ray Stearns and Gary Devon Stearns.

Pastor David Rose will conduct a service on Thursday, June 11, 2020 at 1 p.m. at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN and will be live-streamed for family and friends to connect at www.swartzmortuary.com/obituary/phyllis-conner.
