WHITELAND
Phillip J. Pace, Sr. 80, of Whiteland, passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Pace was born June 10, 1940 in Illinois to the late Willard Pace and Edith Irene (Dotson) Pace.
He married Caroline Pace who preceded him in death on June 16, 2016 and Judith K. (Dillon) Pace, who preceded him in death on July 14, 2019.
Phillip was of the Catholic faith and loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed golfing and was a member of the Good Ole Boys Golf Club at Otte Golf Course for 20 years. In his spare time, he loved playing poker, euchre, bowling, metal detecting and coaching little league baseball.
Phillip is survived by his children; Debra (Michael) Hendrickson of Whiteland, IN, Cathy (Doug) Alvey of New Whiteland, IN and Phillip (Deborah) Pace, Jr. of Newport News, VA; two sisters, Barbara Barton of Indianapolis, IN and Joann Clark of Vincennes, IN; two brothers, John Pace of Terre Haute, IN and Frank (Jeanie) Pace of Vincennes, IN; five grandchildren, Addey Hendrickson, Albert Pittman, Christopher Bowman, Kristopher Pittman, Alissa Hendrickson and 12 great-grandchildren.
Phillip was preceded in death by his parents; his wives, Judith K. (Dillon) Pace and Caroline Pace; a granddaughter, Kristin Alvey and two brothers, Everett and Paul Pace.
Cremation is planned, no services are scheduled.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Phillip’s honor may take the form of donations to the Prostate Cancer Foundation, 1250 Fourth Street Santa Monica, CA 90401.
