FRANKLIN

Jeffrey Richard Jackson, 52 of Franklin passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 in Indianapolis.

Jeff was born on March 18, 1968 in Franklin to Dan and Pat (Shepherd) Jackson. He married Sara (Park) Jackson on June 14, 2003. Jeff is survived by his father, Dan Jackson; wife, Sara Jackson; daughter, Christine Jackson; sister, Amy Greene (Danny); niece, Jenny Bartels (Jared); nephews, Sam Greene, Cody Greene (Hannah) and Gage Greene; and numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. He was preceded in passing by his paternal and maternal grandparents and his mother, Pat Jackson.

He was a 1986 graduate of Franklin Community High School and a 1990 graduate of Franklin College.

He was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity and the Franklin Church of the Nazarene.

Jeff was Self-Employed. He was an avid auction goer and able to stretch a dollar farther than most.

Jeff will be best known for his hardy and infectious laugh and his contagious smile. Jeff had a way of connecting with people, asking what was going on in their lives, and following that by jokingly “one-up” them with a laugh.

Jeff’s passion in life was World War II history. He was the creator and administrator of two significantly popular Facebook groups, “Fans of the Strategic Air Command (SAC)” and “World War II Air War Over Europe”

Rev. Jack McMahon will conduct a Celebration of Jeff’s life on Saturday, June 20 at 2:00 p.m. at the Franklin Church of the Nazarene, 140 Branigin Road, Franklin, Indiana 46131. Friends may call on Saturday, June 20 from 10:00 a.m. to time of service at 2:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, Indiana. Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home in Franklin is assisting the family with arrangements.
