William Frederick Raymann, 85, of Franklin, IN formerly of Beech Grove, IN passed away Monday, June 15, 2020 at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin, IN. He was born July 19, 1934 in Indianapolis, IN to Joseph Edward Raymann and Ruth Mildred (McCool) Raymann. He married Barbara L. (Merkle) Raymann on February 8, 1958 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Indianapolis, IN, she preceded him in death on August 2, 2019.
He had been a millwright at Western Electric later becoming AT&T in Indianapolis, IN for 30 years retiring in 1986. He was a United States Navy Veteran. In 2017, his daughter accompanied him on the Indy Honor Flight. He was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church in Beech Grove, IN where he was a member of the men’s class and the Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include his daughter Sue Ellen Ditchley (Lisa Cain); grandchildren Camille Ditchley (Papillon Burkett), Martyna Gudat, Lauren Ditchley (Noah Prubaker) and Charles Ditchley; and a brother John Raymann (Jeanie) of Indianapolis, IN.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; son William F. Raymann Jr. on January 23, 1994; a brother Edward Raymann and sister-in-law Sharon Raymann.
Father Robert J. Robeson will conduct a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, June 22, 2020 at 10 a.m. at Holy Name Catholic Church, 89 North 17th Avenue, in Beech Grove, IN with visitation from 9:30 a.m. till service time. Inurnment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Indianapolis, IN. Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN is handling the arrangements.
