Marie Diane Plummer, 73, lifelong resident of Bargersville, IN passed away Friday June 19, 2020 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. She was born October 11, 1946 at the family farm in Bargersville, IN to Eugene Daniel “Flip” Plummer and Marie Jane (Stewart) Plummer.

She was a 1964 graduate of Center Grove High School. She had been a supervisor for the Indiana Underground Plant Protection Services for twenty years retiring in 2018. She was a member of First Christian Church of Bargersville.

She enjoyed fishing in Minnesota, vacationing in Daytona Beach, Florida, reading James Patterson Mystery Novels and her black Labradors including Rascal.

Survivors include her son Ricki L. Smith of Bargersville, IN; a daughter Michelle D. Hayes (Rod) of Bargersville, IN; seven grandchildren Amber M. Foster of Greenwood, IN, Caleb E. Foster (Kendra) of Morgantown, IN Benjamin T. Hayes (Allison) of Ft. Drum, NY, Autumn R. Foster of Bargersville, IN, Brittany H. Foster of Bargersville, IN, Nikki G. Smith of Bargersville, IN, Rachel L. Hayes of Ft. Wayne, IN; three great-grandchildren Xander Isley, Ezekiel Isley and Harley Isley all of Bargersville, IN; two brothers Danny B. Plummer (Mary) of Morgantown, IN and Duane D. Plummer (Melinda) of Bargersville, IN; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

The Reverends Dustin Hite and Roger Gifford will conduct a service on Thursday June 25, 2020 at 10 a.m. at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN and will be live-streamed for family and friends to connect at www.swartzmortuary.com/obituary/marie-plummer.
