FRANKLIN, INDIANA

Marsha Lee (Baker) Schumacher, 65, died July 6, 2020 at Johnson Memorial Hospital. She was born June 2, 1955 in Indianapolis and was a lifelong resident of Franklin.

Her parents were Edwin Virgil Baker and Norma Jean Baker. They preceded her in death.

She married Frank Vernon Schumacher, Jr. Oct. 24, 1981 at the Masonic Home Chapel. He survives. Other survivors include her daughter, Sarah Jean (Schumacher) Christiansen; son-in-law, Brian Reid Christiansen; her brother, Mark Edwin Baker; and three grandchildren, Benjamin Reid Christiansen, Jacob Andrew Christiansen and Abigail Jeaneva Christiansen, all of Franklin. She is also survived by her beloved dog, Jack.

Marsha was a graduate of Franklin Community High School, attended Ivy Tech Community College for Respiratory Therapy training, and earned a certified nursing assistant certificate as well as a pharmacy tech certification. Through the years, she worked in the family business along with accepting employment in area nursing facilities and pharmacy locations.

She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and many lifelong friends. She loved going on trips with Frank, especially to relax and search the sand for shells at Sanibel Island, Florida.

Arrangements: She didn’t want tears of sadness at a visitation, so there will be a Celebration of Life at the Franklin Elks Lodge (56 E. Jefferson St, Franklin, Indiana) Monday, July 13th from 5:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. She will make a final trip to the beaches of Sanibel Island Florida later this summer.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Johnson County Humane Society (http://hsjc.org/donations/ ) would be appreciated.

Arrangements entrusted to Jessen Funeral Home ~ Franklin Chapel.
