GREENWOOD

Juanita “Ann” (McPherson) Hale, 87, of Greenwood, IN ran into the arms of Jesus on March 12, 2020 at Greenwood Village South. She loved God and loved her family with all she had. She married the love of her life, Daniel Lewis Hale on March 19, 1949, she passed just 7 days before celebrating their 71st anniversary.

She was born in Berthoud, Colorado to Roy and June (Roberts) McPherson where her dad was a ranch and logging foreman. As a child she and her siblings would roam the mountains until it would be time to come home for supper. At the age of 13 she moved to Indianapolis, IN but never lost her love for the beautiful mountains. Ann had style and her favorite colors were red, gold and black with a splash of leopard print. But she looked stunning in any color. Ann loved the Lord, her family, people and her husband passionately. She nurtured and discipled her children like they were gifts from God. She adored her grandchildren and treasured every minute spent with them. They couldn’t be around her without being told, “You’re so cute!!” No one could be around her without feeling loved. People filled her home at every opportunity. Teenagers seemed to spend more time there than they did in their own home. There was always a seat at the table and she was a great cook and welcoming hostess. Laughter was common in the home and she always had the biggest smile of all.

Ann Hale came to faith in Christ as a young girl and lived out her faith for 70 years. She was a great example of what a Christ-follower looks like to everyone who knew her. In spite of pain, in spite of loss, in good times and bad, her reaction was love.

Survivors include her loving husband Lewis Hale of Greenwood, IN; her children Russ Hale (Diane) of Midland, TX, her daughters and amazing daily caregivers Brenda Schnelle (Duane) of Greenwood, IN, Becky Glover (Marion) of Greenwood, IN, Vicki Bosley (Brian) of Greenwood, IN and Joyce Conder (Kevin) of Whiteland, IN; a sister Marilyn Preston of Aransas Pass, TX; grandchildren Tim Hale (Cindy), Matt Hale (Wendy), Amy Hale, Andrea Foley (Grant), Nikki Zapp (AJ), Shane Glover (Jineen), Brock Glover (Casey), Candace Brown (Nate), Megan Marchena (Gio), Lauren Golden (Logan) and Malone Conder; great grandchildren Cassidee Hale, Chloe Hale, Connor Hale, Abby Hale, Andrew Hale, Nolan Foley, Layne Foley, Macie Foley, Evan Zapp, Ellen Zapp, Emilie Zapp, Ava Glover, Holden Glover, Leyla Glover, Blake Glover, Jadyn Glover, Braylin Glover, Jackson Brown, Daphne Brown, Reid Brown, Hunter Golden and many nieces and nephews.
