Eva Hildegard (Klarr) Million, 92, passed away on August 10,2020 at Greenwood Village South.
Eva was bom on January 7,1928, in East Prussia, Germany to Richard and Elisabeth (Grutz) Klarr. She worked as an international switchboard operator in Frankfurt, Germany, knowing seven languages. She immigrated to the United States in 1957. She resided in Franklin for many years before moving to Greenwood. Eva was a homemaker and also worked for Johnson County Senior Services.
Eva loved to cook, making seasonal plates of treats for those special in her life. She never turned down an opportunity to get in the water – especially summers on Sweetwater Lake. Eva loved to travel and made it back to Germany several times to visit family and friends. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Eva was preceded in death by her parents and brother Bruno (Helene) Klarr.
Eva is survived by her daughters, Diann (Billy) Carlton, Peoria, AZ, and Betsy (Darrell) Peavey, Whiteland, IN. Her grandchildren, Jaime Carlton, Allison Carlton, and Meagan Wiersma, Arizona, Emma and Abby Peavey, Whiteland, IN, and her great-grandchildren, Mackenzie and Macie Wiersma, Arizona. As well as numerous nieces and nephews in Germany.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Julian Center, (317) 941- 2200. A memorial service and celebration of life will be held at a later time.
