FRANKLIN
Dorothy Marie Matthew, 78, of Franklin passed away on Friday evening, August 14, 2020 at the Otterbein of Franklin.
She was born on June 16, 1942 in Springville, Indiana to James R. and Geneva (Lundy) Harris. She married Paul R. Matthew on June 3, 1960. Dorothy is survived by two sons, Paul (Jo) Matthew of Greenwood and Kevin Matthew (Angela Sisson) of Indianapolis. Also surviving are grandchildren, Nathan Matthew (Jessica) of Greenwood; Benjamin Matthew of Greenwood and Markie Matthew of Columbus; and great-grandchildren, Carter, Cooper and Charli Matthew. She was preceded in passing by her parents; husband, Paul and a brother.
She was a graduate of Needmore High School.
Dorothy was retired from Walmart after many years of dedicated service.
She was a faithful member of Greenwood Bible Baptist Church.
Rev. Todd Poynter will conduct a Celebration of Dorothy’s life on Wednesday, August 19 at 1:00 p.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street (US. 31 North) with calling on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. to time of service at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Miller Cemetery in Shelbyville, Indiana.
