FRANKLIN
Frances L. Donahue, 99, passed away on Tuesday evening, August 25, 2020 at Homeview Health and Rehabilitation in Franklin. She was a resident of Franklin.
Frances was born on April 6, 1921 in Bargersville to Ead and Amy (Watson) Barker.
She married Howard Donahue on January 24, 1940.
She is survived by their two children, Judy Smith (Eddy) and Dale Donahue (Harriett); four grandchildren, six great grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in passing by her parents; her husband, Howard in 1993; sister, Doris Flake and nephew, Russell Flake.
Frances was a 1939 graduate of Trafalgar High School. She was a farmer’s wife for many years. She later was employed by Johnson Memorial Hospital in the Cafeteria and at the Franklin United Methodist Community in the laundry for twenty years.
She was a ninety year member of the Trafalgar Christian Church. Frances was a faithful reader of the Bible. She enjoyed walking and taking care of her house plants.
Eric Donahue will conduct a private family graveside service at Nineveh Cemetery in Nineveh, Indiana.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to Trafalgar Christian Church at 300 W. Pearl Street Trafalgar, Indiana 46181.
