Young helps Grace to first-place finish at tournament

Sophomore Lucy Young secured medalist honors with a 74 for Grace College at the Pure Michigan Invitational at Quail Ridge Golf Club in Ada, Michigan. The former Center Grove player helped lead the Lancers to the team title with a score of 305.

Defensive back Russ Yeast contributed five tackles for the Louisville football team in its 47-34 home loss to No. 17 Miami.

Louisiana kicker Nate Snyder converted all four point-after attempts and averaged 44.8 yards on his five kickoffs as the 19th-ranked Ragin’ Cajuns won at Georgia State in overtime, 34-31.

Grace College junior Jacob Gray helped the Lancers’ men’s tennis team down Huntington, 5-2. Gray took part in No. 3 doubles for a 6-1 victory. Gray also helped No. 2 doubles win in the team’s 7-0 victories against Trine and Bethel.

Huntington junior goalkeeper Maddy Moan made nine saves in her team’s 10-1 loss at Marian.
