Grizzly Cubs top Quakers
Class 3A No. 1 Franklin had little trouble with an undermanned Plainfield team on Wednesday, earning a 67-12 win. The Grizzly Cubs got wins by fall from Tyler Fuqua, Jalen Ward, Harris Eason, Nolan Skaggs and Jacob Johnson, while Jake Bechert won by major decision and Dayson Lashlee also got a victory.
Trojans edged by Greyhounds
In a battle of top-10 teams, No. 9 Carmel got past No. 8 Center Grove 30-27. Drake Buchanan won by pin at 182 pounds for the Trojans, Hayden Watson (145) and Riley Rust (152) won by tech fall, and Owen Green (285) and Charlie LaRocca (106) both won by major decision. Reese Courtney (113) also earned a victory for Center Grove.
