Russell James Hitch, 81 of Greenwood, Indiana passed away Tuesday, February 16th. He was born on August 31, 1939 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Roy J. Hitch & Mabel P. (Burns) Lamberth. Russell retired from Bertelsmann Music Group (previously RCA) after 40+ years of service. He loved being on the water. He enjoyed his boats and fishing. Russell was preceded in death by a stepfather, Wesley Lamberth; a brother, Ronald Hitch; a sister, Carol Jackson. Russell is survived by his wife of 59 years, Judith K. Hitch; 2 daughters, Diana Albin, Darlene Fletcher; three sisters, Janet Isaac, Debi Lamberth, Bonny Levi and three grandchildren, Ashley Albin, Michael Fletcher and Ryan Fletcher.
Funeral Service will be 1:00 pm Tuesday, February 23rd at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Greenwood Chapel 481 W. Main Street with calling from 11:00 am to service time. He will be laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery. Per Indiana State Department of Health’s mandate, all services and visitations are limited to 50 people or less. Masks are mandatory and are to be worn properly at all times.
