COLUMBUS, GA

Ret. SFC Darrin Curt Boner, 50, of Columbus, GA died Monday, February 15, 2021 at St. Francis Hospital.

Funeral services with Military honors will be held 2:00 PM Friday, February 19, 2021 in the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. In keeping with the efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19 facemasks and social distancing will be required during the services.

Darrin was born November 19, 1970 in Franklin, IN to Gary Curt Boner and Maryfrances Pope Boner. He retired as a Calvary Scout from the U.S. Army after 25 1/2 years and was a retired Advanced Recognizance Course Instructor. He graduated from Center Grove High School in 1989 and went to Grand Central Texas Collage. He was decorated with the Iraq Campaign Medal with two Campaign Stars, a Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation, and Army Good Conduct Medal.

He is survived by his wife, Nicole Elaine Boner of Columbus, GA, sons, Philip, Tanner, Christian and Damien, brother, Douglas Boner (Patricia) sister, Donna Turk (John), mother, Mary Boner, father, Curt Boner, grandson, Miller Boner, numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
