Ashlynn Wolff’s solo home run accounted for all of Center Grove’s offense in a 5-1 loss against Class 4A No. 2 Mooresville on Thursday.

Despite two homers and three RBIs from Kaitlyn Bailey, Edinburgh suffered a 15-4 setback against Seymour. Gracie Crawhorn added a solo home run for the Lancers (10-9).

Trojans finish up with victory
Center Grove wrapped up its regular season with a 4-1 win over No. 11 Delta on Thursday. The seventh-ranked Trojans (12-3) got singles victories from Ashlee Fisk, Sonya Vyas and Deepthi Shankar as well as a point at No. 2 doubles from Lauren Dick and Hudson Gilstorf.
Grizzly Cubs sweep Golden Bears
Franklin shut out Shelbyville, 5-0, paced by a singles sweep from Rylie Wilkison, Emma Williams and Jenna Hash. Haylie Rayl and Chelsie Rayl were victorious at first doubles for the Grizzly Cubs (13-2), with Haley Haldeman and Emma Sappenfield winning in the No. 2 position.
Lancers get past Lutheran
Edinburgh won all three singles matches to earn a 3-2 triumph over Indianapolis Lutheran. Annelise Lollar, Bethany Burton and Jessica Walsh each won in straight sets, giving up a combined seven games between them.

Grizzly Cubs win three-way
Damon Dickey led all players with a 36 as No. 15 Franklin shot a 165 to defeat Indian Creek (183) and Martinsville (184) at Foxcliff on Thursday. Braxton Christie paced the Braves with a 41.
Whiteland edged by Cardinals
Will Davis and Evan Meece each turned in a round of 43, but Whiteland came up on the short end of a 190-200 match against Southport at The Legends.

Creek boys shine at WIC meet
Aidan Neathery doubled up with first-place finishes in the discus and shot put as Indian Creek’s boys competed in the Western Indiana Conference meet at Northview. Mason Britt won the high jump for the Braves.

Softball splits in tourney
Franklin College opened HCAC tournament play Thursday with a 4-1 win over Hanover, riding a strong pitching effort from Alisha Burch, before losing to top seed Transylvania, 15-7.
The Grizzlies (20-14) will play either Anderson or Hanover in an elimination game today.
