Franklin College topped its fundraising goal for the 2020-21 fiscal year by more than $50,000.

The college raised $728,098, marking its second consecutive year with more than $700,000 raised. The school’s original goal was $675,000.

Donations from trustees, alumni, faculty, staff, parents, community friends and corporate partners contributed to the total, according to a Franklin College news release.

The money will help provide students financial aid and pay for student learning opportunities, the news release said.
