INDIANAPOLIS
Katherine Delores Cowling Everheart, 84, of Indianapolis, Indiana, daughter of Buford McGuire and Fannie Brown McGuire was born on August 8th, 1936. She entered into her Heavenly home with Praises and Thanksgiving to her Lord on July 9th, 2021 at 2:57 p.m. She was at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis, Indiana.
She was a longtime resident of Franklin, Indiana where she raised her five children. Katherine was a loving wife to James A. Everheart. She also was a loving, hard working and dedicated Mother to her five children. She will be very deeply missed by all who knew her.
She was a devout Christian and was a Faithful member of Church of God in Christ Affiliation in Indianapolis, Indiana. She worked for and retired from Arvin Automotive, LLC after twenty-five years of hard work and dedicated service.
Katherine Everheart leaves to cherish her memory three daughters, Katherine Clark (husband, Steve) of Franklin; Margaret Paul (husband Warren) of Indianapolis and Martha Jean Claude of Franklin; two sons, John Cowling of Franklin and Clayton Cowling (wife Lisa) of Indianapolis; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, James A. Everheart and John L. Cowling, II who was the father of her five children; Aunts, Uncles and eleven siblings.
The viewing will be held on Friday, August 6th at Stuart’s Mortuary, 2201 N. Illinois St. Indianapolis from 4:00-8:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life Service will be held for Katherine on Saturday, August 7th at Solid Rock Church of God in Christ, 2357 Carrollton Ave., Indianapolis, 46205 starting at 11:00 a.m. A Mausoleum Committal Service will be held immediately following the funeral service at Crown Hill Cemetery, 700 38th St., Indianapolis 46208.
