Betty J. (Foster) Morris, 69, of Franklin, Indiana, passed away at her residence on Saturday, August 7, 2021.
Betty was born on December 28, 1951 in Science Hill, Kentucky to the late Johnny Grant Foster and Mary (Abbott) Foster.
Betty had a strong, personal relationship with Jesus Christ and was a devoted member of Shelby St. Pentecostal Lighthouse. She had an active ministry at Homeview Health & Rehabilitation Center and was always present for Bible studies and church services. In addition to her ministry, she loved to help coordinate activities for the residents at Homeview. Betty was a loving mother and a wonderful grandmother. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Along with creating memories with her loved ones, she enjoyed singing and playing the piano.
Betty is survived by her three children, Randy (Amber) Foster of Franklin, IN, Jody (Chris) Ellis of New Whiteland, IN, and Kristi Moistner of Bargersville, IN; her five grandchildren, Carissa (Garrett) Pennington, Codey Ellis, Desiree Quattlebaum, Malique Smith, and D.J. Akins; her three great-grandchildren, Henry Pennington, Jazmyn Jones, and Karter Quattlebaum; her four siblings, Lloyd (Connie) Foster of Tennessee, Frances (Billy) Helmburg of Somerset, KY, Edna Vogelgesang of Ohio, and Roy Foster of Science Hill, KY.
Betty was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Cayla Ellis; her parents, Johnny and Mary Foster; her siblings, Ruby Dick and Bobby Ray Foster.
A funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at 2:00pm at Jessen Funeral Home ~ Whiteland Chapel with visitation from 11:00am until the funeral hour. Betty will be laid to rest at Rocklane Cemetery in Greenwood, Indiana.
