FRANKLIN, IN.
Ruth (Michael) Clark, 93, of Franklin, IN passed away Thursday, September 16, 2021, at Franciscan Health in Indianapolis, IN. She was born on December 8, 1927, in Nashville, IN to Bruce and Mabel (Crawhorn) Michael. She married Philip W. Clark on February 27, 1948, at Tabernacle Christian Church in Franklin, IN. He preceded her in death on August 10, 2013. She had been employed by Century Link, formerly United Telephone Company in Franklin for more than 30 years, retiring in 1985. Following her retirement, she worked for many years alongside her husband as the owners of Amity Trailers.
She enjoyed making angel food birthday cakes for every family member. It was a tradition everyone expected. Her greatest joys came from spending time with family. Her two grandsons were precious to her as well as her great grandchildren. Ruth never knew a stranger. She delighted in developing new friendships and reminiscing with old friends and acquaintances. Her memory was impeccable, as she knew the birthdays of every close friend and family member. She loved choosing the perfect card with the perfect message.
Survivors include her daughter Cheryl Sever (David) of Franklin, IN, grandchildren Michael Sever (Allyson) of Franklin, Indiana and Brad Sever (Rachel) of Carmel, Indiana, five great grandchildren Genna, JD, Addy, Brock, and Ella, a sister Rachel Wilson of Franklin, IN and a brother Allen Michael (Judy) of Franklin, IN.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Philip W. Clark, sisters Betty Miller and Dorothy Linneman, brothers-in-law Don Linneman and Don Wilson.
A service for family and close friends will be conducted on Sunday September 19, 2021 at 1PM and will be live-streamed where family and friends can connect at www.swartzmortuary.com/obituary/ruth-clark.
