FRANKLIN
Janet Louise (Johnson) Cox passed away Monday, February 7, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 5, 1947 in Lebanon, IN to Ray Johnson and May June Louise Tilly (Rabeneck) Tull. She married Robert L. Cox on August 25, 1984 in Franklin, IN he survives.
She was a 1965 graduate of Greenwood Community High School.
Janet had worked for 16 years at Norplex in Franklin, IN retiring in 1986. She later had been a sales associate for Tommy Hilfiger at the Edinburgh Outlet Mall.
She was a member of the Shelbyville Seventh-day Adventist Church.
She was a caring and tender-hearted person and always witnessing to others.
She enjoyed reading, traveling to Nashville, IN and spending time with family and others.
Survivors include her husband Robert L. Cox of Franklin, IN, her children Vena J. Allender of Franklin, IN, Robin Spalding (Phil) of Franklin, IN and Donald Cox of Greenwood, IN, ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Pastor Eric Freking will conduct a service on Monday, February 14, 2022 at 10 A.M. at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN and will be live-streamed at www.swartzmortuary.com janet-cox. Friends may call Sunday, February 13, 2022 from 2PM until 6PM at the mortuary.
Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, IN.
